SINGAPORE, June 17 (Xinhua) -- Singapore's non-oil domestic exports (NODX) declined by 3.5 percent year-on-year in May, reversing the 12.4 percent growth recorded in April, according to data released by Enterprise Singapore on Tuesday.
Non-electronic NODX fell by 5.3 percent from a year earlier, while electronic exports rose by 1.7 percent.
Meanwhile, non-oil re-exports grew by 16.1 percent in May, moderating from the 39.3 percent surge seen in the previous month. Growth was recorded in both electronic and non-electronic segments.
Overall, Singapore's total trade expanded by 1.0 percent year-on-year in May, following a 14.7 percent rise in April. ■
